Some time ago I published areprint of two of my articleswith illustrations which hadappeared in “The BuildingNews.”
This little publication, thoughlong out of print, being stillconstantly asked for; and theneed of something to take its place being felt byus; the question of re-issuing it arose. Instead ofdoing this, however, it seemed better, as being alater and fuller expression, to collect two or threeof the lectures which my partner and I had fromtime to time written for various audiences; and toadd by way of illustration some of the sketchesand photographs we had by us.
So came into existence this book in its presentform.
